A classic example of a high quality upper tangent arc (UTA) on Sept 19th 2006. The UTA looks almost straight as it cuts across the top of a faint sun halo for 40 degrees in length. The best I have seen. These UTA's are like petals on a flower - they will change shape with the suns position throughout the day. They can take on the morphology of a straight line or 'horns'. The cameras dust cap was used to block the bright sun.
